King's Quest III: to Heir Is human is the third installment of the classic King's Quest adventure series developed and produced by Sierra Online in 1986. The first two games were a huge success, which were then followed by the sequels. The original game was first released for the Apple II, PC DOS and later port to various other computer platforms. The third game is also set to follow in this vein of storyline, however it will differ from the previous two. A lot of changes have been made to the plot, the characters and the graphics. There are many additions and some changes are so drastic that the graphics were changed in such a way that it would be difficult for those who enjoyed the previous versions to recognize it as the same game.
King Graham, the hero of the first two games, will once again return to reclaim his rightful throne. His daughter, Princess Leah, has been abducted by the evil wizard Morgun, and he intends to marry her to rule his kingdom. Graham needs to find the mystical amulet known as the 'Arrav' in order to stop Morgun and his plans. The game will use the Sierra Adventure Game Engine (SAGE) to run the different scenes of the game. For those who enjoy the game with a bit more action than the older versions, this is the version that you are looking for. It has more adventure and the action is presented in 3D.
The story of Kings Quest III: to Heir Is Human takes place over the course of two years. Graham is still grieving over his daughter, Leah, whom he lost on his wedding day, as well as being concerned about the future of his kingdom. The King must now unite his kingdom to save his kingdom from Morgun and save his daughter. As Graham seeks to uncover the mystery surrounding the amulet, his quest will take him through the world of three different tribes, each of which holds secrets of their own. The characters will be familiar to fans of the previous games, but some new faces will pop up as well.
